ABOUT THE CLIENT: A global leader in entertainment, serving fans around the world with content that inspires, informs and entertains. Client delivers over 10,000 hours of original programming each year across deeply loved content genres.

THE PROBLEM: This federal agency was running on old technology infrastructure such as Windows XP, SharePoint, Hardware, and connectivity infrastructure. Causing security risks and loss of productivity, newer softwares/applications agency wanted to deploy but could not because more resources were required then what current infrastructure could provide.

THE SOLUTION: Cominfo was engaged to modernize entire agency including 60 offices located in 40 different states and provide training to end users.

With no supervision and direction from the agency, Cominfo provided agency wide service, support, maintenance, modernization, migration, deployment, security, and inventory control of over 5000 pieces of hardware, Software, and Peripherals deployed to over 2500 end users Provided a single point of contact central Service Desk to serve as the primary Tier 1 and II interface to client’s user community who used various enterprise applications.
Program Management: Managed entire agency wide technology refresh initiative. Developed a Program Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) which best enables execution of the PWS with corresponding performance measurements. Provided for an overall Work Breakdown Structure WBS and associated responsibilities and partnerships between or among SBA offices.
Staffing and Scheduling: Cominfo mobilized over 25 resources including management staff within 2 weeks of contract award. Worked with end-users, management, Network Operation Center (NOC) and Security Operation Center (SOC) to schedule modernization activities.
Asset Management and Inventory Control: Cominfo’s personnel performed inventory of assets located in 40 states and 60 offices, replaced old infrastructure with the new modernized infrastructure.

RESULTS: Entire agency was modernized within 12 months (2 months ahead of schedule) with 100% accuracy. Cominfo was recognized as one of the top vendors by the client. Agency was able to acquire new applications and softwares to keep up with the other agency and user’s demands.
